Neuenhagen bei Berlin
Neuenhagen is a commune directly at the east outskirt of Berlin in the administrative district Märkisch-Oderland in Brandenburg. The idyllic village with its closeness to Berlin, the fantastic lake scenery and the nearby opportunities for recreation, makes the place perfect for families living in more generations. If you like fishing, sailing or just like long walks, then the close lakes in this area are perfect to so. Within 15 minutes you can get to the “Great Müggelsee”. In hot summers you can feel like on holidays there.
If you like horse racing, then you can follow them at the race-track in “Hoppegarten”. Especially on the weekend they offer events, so you can have a good time with the whole family.
The impressive town hall of Neuenhagen is composed out of two buildings, a water tower and an administrative building, which makes this construction unique in Brandenburg.
The established primary school “Grundschule am Schwanenteich” was built in 1700 by the family von Görtzke and was used as the mansion “Gut Bollendorf”. Even today you can still see the architectural features of the mansion from that time. For that reason, this little area in Neuenhagen still is called “Bollendorf”. This building can be visited by anyone who is interested.
Good shopping facilities and doctors can be reached by foot. More primary school, high schools and special schools are spread in the village, so it is possible to achieve any school certificate you need.
With public transportation you can reach Berlin city centre within 40 minutes by taking the S5 from the train station “Neuenhagen”. Using the car over the B1 / B5, you will get to Berlin-Mahlsdorf and its shopping centre as well as the city centre, in 10 minutes.
The nearby A10, “Berliner Ring”, takes you within 30 minutes to “Airport Schönefeld” and the other motorways reaching throughout the country.
